About The Role

Face to Face Social Market Research Interviewer – Mobile, with travel up to 30 miles

Have you ever wondered where statistics like “36% of Britons think the government should reduce income tax” come from?

As a Social Market Research Interviewer, you will be interviewing members of the public, mostly in their homes. You will be provided a device to ask for their opinions on a wide range of subjects, and record their responses. We work on behalf of various clients, from government bodies to public sector organizations. Your data gathering will support improvements in public services, influence governmental & corporate policies, and shape public policy across the UK.

We regularly recruit throughout the UK. If you are over 18, personable & confident when meeting new people, have a vehicle & a valid UK driving license, and want to earn money while impacting public policy – then this is the role for you!

Pay & Benefits:

• £15.12* per hour (£13.50 per hour + £1.62 holiday pay) outside London, plus travel expenses, a £500 joiner bonus**, and opportunities to earn more with experience.
• £18.15* per hour (£16.20 per hour + £1.95 holiday pay) within the M25 in London, plus bonuses and expenses.

You will speak to a variety of people daily, building rapport and encouraging participation. Some assignments will be local; others may require travel up to 30 miles or more.

We provide comprehensive fully-paid training, with support from our dedicated training team both in-person on your first day and throughout your role.

Compensation Structure:

• You’ll start paid by the hour. After your probation, you'll shift to payment by results, earning more per successful interview, plus bonuses.
• New joiner bonus is paid when moving to results-based pay, typically at 12 weeks.

Job Opportunity:

This flexible role allows you to control your schedule, with a commitment of at least 16-20 hours per week, mainly during afternoons, evenings, and weekends, when research participation is most successful. You can adjust your hours around other commitments.

You will knock on doors to secure participation, with training provided to enhance success. We facilitate engagement by contacting participants in advance and scheduling appointments that suit them. Participants may receive incentives for their involvement.

You will be assigned to a large geographic area, requiring travel up to 30 miles or more, with mileage paid. Access to a car is generally necessary, especially in non-London areas; alternative arrangements are available within London.
