Our client, a global, multi-billion dollar AUM, multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to make a newly created 'Market Data Specialist' hire to sit within their global Data team.
Working as part of a lean team of professionals in the buy-side data space, you will report directly to the Global Head of Data. Your role involves managing internal data infrastructure, data contract frameworks, and relationships with external stakeholders like Bloomberg, FactSet, and Refinitiv, ensuring efficiency and smooth operations.
The role combines commercial and hands-on data and vendor management responsibilities. You will work with and manage market data vendors, handle contracts (licensing, renewals, usage analysis), and oversee onboarding of new partners. You will also contribute to major projects aimed at improving internal data usage, spend management, procurement lifecycle, and integrating new tools for the team.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team and make a significant impact. Candidates should ideally have 2-5 years of experience as an MDM, Market Data Analyst, or Vendor Management Analyst at a buy-side firm, bank, or major data vendor. Exceptional juniors seeking to advance may also be considered. Candidates must be willing to work in a lean team and adopt a hands-on approach, with a strong academic background.
The client is committed to offering a competitive salary and a leading benefits package, with top performers receiving substantial bonuses.
