Job Description:

Our client, a global, multi-billion dollar AUM, multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to make a new hire for the role of 'Market Data Specialist' within their global Data team.

The role involves working with a lean team of leading professionals in the buy-side data space, reporting directly to the Global Head of Data. Responsibilities include managing internal data infrastructure, data contract frameworks, and relationships with external stakeholders such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and Refinitiv.

The position combines commercial and hands-on data and vendor management, including managing market data vendors, contracts, licensing, renewals, usage analysis, and onboarding new partners. The role also involves participating in major projects to enhance internal data usage, spend management, procurement lifecycle, and integrating new tools for the team.

This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative team and make a significant impact. Candidates should ideally have 2-5 years of experience as an MDM, Market Data Analyst, or Vendor Management Analyst at a buy-side firm, bank, or major data vendor.
