Job Description:

We are looking for a candidate with financial markets technology experience to work within the Market Connectivity team. The team develops front office trading solutions with brokers, exchanges, ECNs, and third-party platforms across all asset classes and regions.

Principal Responsibilities:

• The candidate will develop software applications supporting electronic trading with exchanges, brokers, and ECNs, focusing on fixed income trading.
• A working knowledge of futures and bonds is required; understanding RFQ trading systems is a plus. Responsibilities may also include monitoring, research, statistical analysis, and automation projects.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• 5+ years Java programming with multi-threading experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
• 3+ years experience in a financial institution.
• Strong FIX protocol knowledge (FIX 4.2 – FIX 5.0), including repeating groups.
• Knowledge of binary trading protocols is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive Linux development experience.
• Strong understanding of market structures for futures and bonds.
• Working knowledge of networking protocols - TCP/IP & multicast.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues (Level 3 support).
