Job summary

Carnival UK is seeking a Superintendent, Technical to join the Fleet Asset Management team within Maritime & Sustainability. You will act as technical authority for vessel systems, drive maintenance strategy, and ensure compliance with statutory and class requirements.

The role involves planning and delivering technical projects and refit scopes, managing budgets, and working with ship teams, classification societies, and external partners.

Qualifications

• A technical, science or engineering-based bachelor’s degree or higher, or experience in a licensed onboard position as a Senior Technical Officer
• Operational experience in a technical role managing equipment and asset risk, reliability and availability
• Strong knowledge of classification society, flag state and statutory compliance and certification requirements
• Proven experience of managing maintenance budgets, capital expenditure and technical or refit projects

Responsibilities

• Acting as the technical authority for assigned vessel systems, giving expert direction on maintenance strategy, defect resolution and system performance
• Leading technical compliance, certification and survey programmes so that all statutory, class and flag state requirements are met
• Managing and controlling repair and maintenance forecasts and capital project budgets, and finding cost efficiencies without compromising safety or performance
• Planning, specifying and delivering technical projects and refit scopes with refit teams, contractors and onboard colleagues, on time, on budget and to the right quality
