Job summary

Carnival UK is seeking an Assistant Superintendent, Safety and Compliance to deliver quality assurance, coordinate investigations and support ISM compliance across the fleet. The role reports to the Director, Safety and Compliance and involves both ship and shore coordination in a regulated maritime environment.

Based in the UK, the position is full-time with hybrid work up to two days from home, offering exposure to safety, data integrity and improvement initiatives across Carnival UK’s

Qualifications

• Certificate of Competency or equivalent qualification in safety or navigation.
• Experience in maritime safety, ISM, compliance or risk-management within a regulated environment.
• Experience supporting audits, investigations and compliance activity.
• Ability to coordinate ship and shore stakeholders and maintain audit-ready records.

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated quality assurance, coordination and admin support; oversee investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions; track actions to closure across ship and shore stakeholders.
• Support audit readiness and follow-up through audit briefings, evidence management and action tracking.
• Maintain safety, occupational health and incident systems; perform data-quality checks and prepare safety/compliance/ISM reports.
• Support safety management and improvement initiatives through administration of safety data, registers and communications with stakeholders.
