Job summary

Evodia Limited invites applications for a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Technical Superintendent to support safety-critical maintenance and certification on Royal Navy ships. The role requires broad engineering expertise and sound judgement to ensure regulatory compliance and certification adherence.

Location: Bristol, with two to three days onsite weekly and hybrid working. Contract through 31 March 2027 with potential extension; SC clearance is required. Start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering Tech Superintendent support during critical safety and certification maintenance periods.
• Knowledge of regulation, legislation, certification, Class Society Rules and maritime engineering processes.
• Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics qualification at RQF Level 4 or higher.
• Professional registration with a recognised body (IEng/CEng, RSci/CSci, IMarEng/CMarEng) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and oversight during safety-critical maintenance and certification periods aboard Navy ships.
• Apply comprehensive engineering knowledge to navigate waterfront work pragmatically.
• Travel within the UK and overseas to meet project milestones and safety standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high safety and compliance standards.
