Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering Tech Superintendent support during critical safety and certification maintenance periods.
  • Knowledge of regulation, legislation, certification, Class Society Rules and maritime engineering processes.
  • Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics qualification at RQF Level 4 or higher.
  • Professional registration with a recognised body (IEng/CEng, RSci/CSci, IMarEng/CMarEng) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and oversight during safety-critical maintenance and certification periods aboard Navy ships.
  • Apply comprehensive engineering knowledge to navigate waterfront work pragmatically.
  • Travel within the UK and overseas to meet project milestones and safety standards.

Are you an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer or Technical Superintendent looking for your next impactful role within the Maritime Environment? Evodia Limited is currently supporting a prestigious client in Bristol to find a qualified professional for a contract role that offers both challenge and opportunity. This role is ideal if you bring a broad expertise across engineering disciplines, combined with sound judgement to support critical safety and certification periods on Royal Navy ships. As a key player, you'll ensure maintenance work progresses smoothly, adhering to regulation, legislation, certification standards, Class Society Rules, and maritime engineering processes.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Providing technical support and oversight during safety-critical maintenance and certification periods aboard Navy ships.
  • Applying your comprehensive engineering knowledge to pragmatically navigate work at the waterfront.
  • Travelling both within the UK and overseas as required, ensuring project milestones and safety standards are met.
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience delivering Tech Superintendent support during critical safety and certification maintenance periods.
  • Knowledge of regulation, legislation, certification, Class Society Rules, and maritime engineering processes.
  • A Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics qualification at RQF Level 4 or higher.
  • Professional registration with a recognised body, such as:
    • Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng)
    • Registered Scientist (RSci) orChartered Scientist (CSci)
    • Incorporated Marine Engineer (IMarEng) orChartered Marine Engineer (CMarEng)
    • The ability to exercise sound engineering judgement in a maritime setting.
Additional Details
  • Location: Bristol, with two to three days onsite per week and the flexibility for hybrid working.
  • Contract: Until 31 March 2027, with potential to extend.
  • Clearance: Minimum SC security clearance required.
  • Rate: Up to £570 per day (inside IR35).
  • Standard hours: 7.5 hours per day.
  • Start: ASAP.
