Job summary

Griffon Marine is seeking a Stores Assistant to join our Portchester team. You will handle stores activities, from receipt to dispatch, ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, and support inventory control.

Collaborate with engineering, production and procurement to align delivery with project schedules, and maintain detailed records. The role suits someone with logistics knowledge and a valid forklift and UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Numerate and analytical.
• MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• High level organisational skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships.
• Understanding of logistics and import/export requirements.
• Forklift licence
• Full, clean UK Driving licence
• Previous experience working in a Stores area.
• Knowledge of customs requirements, Incoterms, and commodity codes.
• Desirable: Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Desirable: ERP system knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Stores activities from receipt to dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct stock audits.
• Provide feedback to stakeholders on supply of goods.
• Support collaboration with Finance and Procurement to resolve queries.
• Identify cost savings and promote best practices.
