Job summary

Flying Fish is seeking a Maritime Instructor to join our Cowes team. The role combines practical instruction, mentoring and equipment maintenance, with training delivered on and off the water.

You will work alongside the Operations Manager and instructor team to provide engaging, safe training for students pursuing maritime and superyacht careers. Weekend work is required as part of a rolling rota.

Qualifications

• Positive and professional attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good IT understanding
• Ability to inspire, motivate and support students
• Experience within the maritime industry

Responsibilities

• Delivering RYA courses and Flying Fish training, including Powerboat Level 2 and PWC
• Delivering MCA-approved courses where qualified
• Mentoring and supporting students throughout training
• Assisting with maintenance of RIBs, yachts and training equipment
• Maintaining high safety, instruction and customer service standards
