TKMS ATLAS UK is seeking a proactive Field Service Engineer based at Winfrith, Dorset, to support advanced submarine and surface ship systems for the Royal Navy and international customers. You will fault-find, repair and integrate complex electro-mechanical equipment, traveling to sites across the UK and overseas as needed.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, perform maintenance, commissioning and system grooms, and produce technical reports.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine engineering or equivalent
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Excellent problem-solving and independent working ability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally
• Experience in maritime, defence or offshore sectors
• Royal Navy or MOD experience
• Knowledge of submarine or surface ship systems
• Fibre optic and copper cable repair experience
• Experience writing technical reports and investigations
• Experience installing or integrating equipment on marine platforms

Responsabilités

• Providing field service support for ATLAS UK products across the UK and internationally.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out maintenance, testing and repairs on complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Supporting equipment integration, installation, system grooms and commissioning activities.
• Conducting equipment surveys and producing technical reports with findings and recommendations.
• Identifying recurring equipment issues and contributing to continuous product improvement.
• Supporting customer acceptance trials, factory testing and sea trials when required.
• Working with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and improve product performance.
• Developing your product knowledge through planned secondments within other engineering departments.
• Deploying at short notice when operational requirements demand.
