Job summary

TKMS Atlas UK in Dorchester, Dorset, England, is seeking a System Design Authority to oversee the design and development of innovative surface ship solutions. You will cover the full product lifecycle from requirements capture and analysis through system specification, modelling, integration, validation and handover to customers.

The role requires proven Systems Engineering expertise and domain knowledge in maritime technology and C2 systems.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable competence in Systems Engineering and the lifecycle.
• Ability to analyse complex problems and identify solutions.
• Experience delivering equipment or products into service.
• Domain knowledge in maritime tech and naval systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical oversight to all stages of the product lifecycle with cross-functional teams.
• Interprets customer requirements, defines system solutions, and plans development & testing.
• Leads engineering lifecycle reviews and ensures customer acceptance.
• Defines system architecture, interfaces, and test/acceptance strategies.
• Manages technical risk with the Project/Bid Manager and subcontractors.
