Job summary

Arup in the United Kingdom is seeking graduates to join our maritime and coastal engineering team. You will work on ports, coastal protection, waterborne transport and waterfront developments across the project lifecycle with a focus on sustainability and collaboration.

You will be involved in planning, design, reports, and client engagement, developing analytical and technical skills while contributing to decarbonisation of maritime infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Environmental or Structural Engineering also acceptable.
• Enthusiasm for maritime careers with some knowledge of ports and coastal sectors.
• Sustainability and decarbonisation interest in maritime infrastructure.
• Analytical thinking and systems thinking.
• Proactive, able to work on own initiative.
• Programming experience; familiarity with relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and design of port infrastructure, waterborne transport facilities, coastal protection and waterfront developments.
• Produce reports, presentations, drawings, calculations, specifications, Feasibility Studies and Business Cases.
• Collaborate with clients such as investors, port authorities and contractors.
• Undertake site visits and surveys, meeting clients and stakeholders.
