Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group in Weybridge, UK, seeks an Assistant Category Manager in Marine Technical Procurement to define and deliver cost-competitive solutions for the fleet. You will collaborate with technical, New-building, operational teams and suppliers to implement global category strategies and support various stakeholders.

You will engage in innovation, retrofit projects, and demand analysis, while providing sourcing support and ensuring cost-effective procurement across maritime initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in procurement or technical sales in maritime or related industries.
• Strong understanding of technical procurement.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong commercial mindset and problem solving ability.
• Beneficial: BSc or MSc in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Support new-building projects and ongoing maintenance with innovative procurement solutions.
• Contribute to building and executing global category strategies for safe, reliable operations.
• Engage with suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure supply chain reliability.
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams to understand project requirements.
• Support cost modelling, spend and demand analysis, and quotation evaluations.
• Address day-to-day operational queries within your area of responsibility.
• Up to 25% domestic and international travel as necessary.
