Based at the Babcock Technology Centre in Bristol, this Marine Structures Engineering Undergraduate Placement Year offers hands-on experience within the Submarine Support Engineering Structures Group. Qualifications

• Final year student in Structural/Mechanical/Naval-related field.
• Willingness to obtain BPSS and Security Check (SC) clearance.
• UK nationals only for security purposes (BPSS/SC).

Responsibilities

• Perform structural assessments using hand calculations and FEA.
• Design/evaluate platform structures for explosive shock survivability.
• Conduct surveys and validation exercises at Devonport Royal Dockyard and HM Naval Base Clyde.
