Job summary

SY Recruitment in the UK seeks a Project Liaison Manager to ensure projects progress in line with client specifications, particularly regarding cost, time and quality. The role requires interpreting technical specifications and assessing delivery against required quality and standards within agreed timeframes.

Although not responsible for the project plan, you will work closely with the Project Scheduler to ensure计划 accuracy and manage inter-dependencies.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex maritime projects.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and ensure compliance with quality/technical standards.
• Proven track record coordinating multiple departments and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Internal management of the project
• Initiate the project in collaboration with other departments
• Manage and coordinate the project costs, lead times and quality
• Delivery of project to Contract and Technical Specification
• Monitor progress of design, purchasing, production, commissioning, and delivery
• Work with Project Scheduler to update the project plan/schedule
• Assess quality to ensure ship is built to a high standard
• Coordinate interdepartmental needs and relationships
• Risk analysis, management and mitigation
• Customer relationship management
• Provide information and progress reports to senior management and clients
• Liaise with clients to ensure specifications are met
• Manage amendments to contracts/technical specifications
• Report on progress of terms and intermediate payments
• Supplier/subcontractor relationship management
• Define suppliers' and subcontractors' PO specifications
• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely procurement
• Monitor Health, Safety and Quality procedures
• Assess skills and resources requirements
• Supervise subcontractors
• Achieve provisional/final delivery stages; sign off and issue invoices
