Intermarine Ltd in Barrow-in-Furness is seeking an enthusiastic Project & Maintenance Engineer to plan, coordinate and deliver maintenance on marine infrastructure. The role combines hands-on maintenance with project delivery and client liaison, with occasional travel to Grimsby.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ post-graduate engineering experience, or 5+ years in trade/construction.
• Electrical or mechanical background, or transferable experience.
• Interest in developing project coordination and delivery skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with RAMS, audits and site safety processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong organisational skills and clear reporting.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and support delivery of planned, remedial and reactive maintenance works.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site activities and required resources.
• Prepare and review RAMS, ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with site requirements.
• Monitor progress, track completion and support reporting of works.
• Investigate technical issues and contribute to fault-finding and resolution.
• Liaise with clients, colleagues and stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress.
• Support preparation of quotations, work scopes and associated documentation.
• Review completed works and identify opportunities for improvement.
