Job summary

Broadreach is seeking a Project Engineer to provide hands-on technical support across marine vessel build projects, covering specification, integration, installation, testing and commissioning to ensure safe, compliant and high‑quality outcomes.

You will collaborate with engineering, production, suppliers and contractors to interpret drawings, resolve technical issues and drive projects through to successful handover, maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Project Engineer or similar engineering role.
• Experience in marine, shipbuilding, offshore, defence or similar complex engineering environments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing hands-on engineering support across vessel build projects.
• Supporting the specification and selection of marine systems and equipment.
• Ensuring equipment and systems are correctly integrated into vessel designs.
• Working with internal teams, suppliers and contractors to resolve technical issues and support installation, testing and commissioning.
• Assisting with testing, troubleshooting and commissioning activities.
• Reviewing technical documentation, drawings and specifications.
• Identifying and resolving engineering challenges throughout the build.
• Supporting projects through to handover with emphasis on quality, safety and deadlines.
