Shoreham Port is seeking a Marine Operations Assistant to join a dynamic team in a busy harbour environment. You will support operations aboard port craft, perform patrols, and carry out safety equipment checks, contributing to safe and efficient marine activities.
The role requires relevant qualifications, a strong team ethic, clear communication, and a proactive attitude toward learning marine regulations and procedures. A UK driving licence and Power Boat Level 2 are essential.
Do you enjoy working within a highly skilled team on the water? Are you looking to start your career in the Maritime industry? Our Marine Operations Assistant role offers an opportunity to experience many different aspects of marine operations within a Port allowing you to decide in which area to specialise.
Shoreham Port operates 24/7 365 days of the year within a fascinating and complex marine environment, where no two days are the same! You will be working with the dynamic and highly skilled marine team of Lockmasters, Pilots, Coxswains, Tug Masters, and Mooring Crew who undertake a diverse range of Port activities - bed levelling, towage, workboats, marine maintenance or working in Shoreham Harbour Radio. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of training and progression support.
Please Note: Applicants should be aware the Port operates under its impairment policy, which includes a zero-tolerance for drugs and alcohol, with a random programme of testing operated throughout.
