Job summary

TWISTED Marine in Lymington is seeking an experienced GRP Laminator for an initial 3-4 month contract on-site. You will laminate GRP and composite components to a high standard, using moulds, patterns and technical drawings.

You should have proven laminating experience in marine or boatbuilding environments, with strong knowledge of GRP materials and processes, and the ability to read drawings and specifications to deliver quality work on time.

Qualifications

• Proven GRP Laminator experience, preferably in marine/boatbuilding.
• Strong knowledge of GRP/composite materials and laminating processes.
• Experience working with moulds, components and finishes.
• Ability to read and work from drawings and specifications.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Laminating GRP and composite components to a consistently high standard.
• Working with moulds, patterns and technical drawings.
• Preparing moulds, materials and equipment for production.
• Carrying out wet lay-up and other laminating techniques.
• Trimming, finishing and preparing components to specification.
• Identifying and resolving quality issues throughout the manufacturing process.
• Working closely with the wider production team to meet project requirements and deadlines.
