Job summary

TWISTED Marine in Lymington is seeking an experienced GRP Laminator for an initial 3-4 month contract on-site. You will laminate GRP and composite components to a high standard, using moulds, patterns and technical drawings.

You should have proven laminating experience in marine or boatbuilding environments, with strong knowledge of GRP materials and processes, and the ability to read drawings and specifications to deliver quality work on time.

Qualifications

• Proven GRP Laminator experience, preferably in marine/boatbuilding.
• Strong knowledge of GRP/composite materials and laminating processes.
• Experience working with moulds, components and finishes.
• Ability to read and work from drawings and specifications.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

TWISTED Marine is looking for experienced GRP Laminators to join our team in Lymington on an initial 3-4 month contract.

This is an opportunity to work within a specialist marine environment, producing high-quality composite components where experience, craftsmanship and attention to detail really matter.

We’re looking for laminators who are confident in their ability, take pride in their work and can work to a high standard with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The Role

Laminating GRP and composite components to a consistently high standard

Working with moulds, patterns and technical drawings

Preparing moulds, materials and equipment for production

Carrying out wet lay-up and other appropriate laminating techniques

Trimming, finishing and preparing components to specification

Identifying and resolving quality issues throughout the manufacturing process

Working closely with the wider production team to meet project requirements and deadlines

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

Key Skills and Competencies

The Candidate

Proven experience as a GRP Laminator, ideally within a marine or boatbuilding environment

Strong practical knowledge of GRP/composite materials and laminating processes

Experience working with a range of moulds, components and finishes

Excellent attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work

The ability to read and work from drawings and specifications

Comfortable working independently and as part of a skilled production team

A reliable, hands-on approach and a commitment to delivering work to a high standard

Must be eligible to work in the UK
