Job Title: Marine Geotechnical Engineer

Locations: Homebased, Liphook, Cardiff, and Dundee offices

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced marine geotechnical engineer to join a forward-thinking consultancy specializing in the marine sector. You will work on offshore projects related to renewable energy, subsea cables, ports and harbours, oil and gas, and energy transition. Your responsibilities will include interpreting geotechnical data, reviewing seabed and soil investigations, conducting geohazard assessments, and developing strategies for trenching and offshore construction. Collaboration with clients and internal teams will be essential to deliver innovative and practical solutions.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering
• Minimum of three years' experience in marine geotechnical work
• Understanding of offshore risks and mitigation strategies
• Experience in geotechnical investigations or subsea infrastructure projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards for offshore projects

Preferred qualifications include experience with offshore renewables, cable or pipeline projects, marine surveys, or data visualization tools such as GIS or CAD. Certifications like NEBOSH, marine survival training, or fluency in a second language are advantageous.
