Job summary

HSB Technical Ltd is seeking a Fabricator for a 4-month contract in Pembrokeshire. You will fabricate and assemble marine structures, read engineering drawings, and prepare materials for fabrication.

The role includes finishing work on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, installing components onboard vessels, and collaborating with welders and engineers to meet deadlines while upholding high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
• Fabricate and assemble marine structures to a high standard.
• Mark out, cut, shape and prepare materials for fabrication; finish components.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble marine structures and components to a high standard.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
• Measure, mark out, cut, shape and prepare materials for fabrication.
• Carry out fitting, grinding and finishing work on fabricated components.
• Work with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Install and modify fabricated components onboard vessels and within a marine environment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and dimensional standards.
• Coordinate with welders, engineers and other trades to meet deadlines.
• Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean working area.
