Babcock International in Helensburgh is seeking a Marine Engineer to join the Submarine Operations Centre. You will provide vital electrical and mechanical engineering support to Royal Navy submarine maintenance and repair programmes, using modern digital tools and engineering data.

Qualifikationen

• NVQ Level 3 qualification or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of submarine in-service support arrangements.
• Experience identifying, interpreting and resolving complex electrical and mechanical engineering issues.

Aufgaben

• Investigate, diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical engineering issues affecting submarine systems.
• Analyse system performance, defect trends and repair requirements to recommend practical engineering solutions.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical publications and material specifications to provide technical guidance.
• Support maintenance, repair and engineering activities both within the office environment and onboard Royal Navy submarines.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure maintenance work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements.
