Job summary

VGroup is seeking an experienced Hotel Fitter to join the cruise vessel Maraelle Explorer during a dry dock in Palma de Mallorca. This temporary role requires valid STCW 95 and ASE A-III/5 certifications, with hands-on experience in marine engine maintenance and strict safety adherence.

Responsibilities include daily maintenance, engine room duties, and participation in safety drills. English fluency is essential for communication with crew and guests; physical fitness is required for demanding

Qualifications

Valid STCW 95 certification.
Valid ASE Certification A-III/5.
Good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, operation and maintenance of vessel machinery and mechanical equipment.
Experience with stripping engines down and rebuilding.
Experience on vessels in an equivalent position.
Physically and medically fit.
Moral integrity is required.

Responsibilities

Carry out daily maintenance and cleaning of engines and mechanical equipment as directed by the Engineer in charge.
Participate in crew safety drills according to instructions.
Ensure compliance with safety and pollution prevention regulations and procedures.
Lead by example with health and safety of self and others.
Ensure correct use of work equipment, PPE, chemicals and safety devices.
Maintain a safe and orderly engine room and spaces.
