Job summary

BAE Systems in Glasgow is seeking experienced marine electricians to contribute to the Type 26 Frigate project. You will install, maintain and test electrical systems on naval vessels, reading detailed technical drawings and wiring diagrams to support flawless builds.

This 12-month PAYE contract offers weekend and night shifts with overtime paid at enhanced rates. Applicants must be eligible for UK Security Clearance and demonstrate attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship.
• Previous experience in marine, industrial or shipbuilding environments.
• Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Reading and working from detailed technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Cable pulling, terminations and general marine electrical works.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and test electrical systems on naval vessels.
• Read and work from detailed technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Perform cable pulling, terminations and general marine electrical tasks.
• Ensure work complies with MOD standards and health & safety rules.
