Job summary

Sunseeker International in Poole, UK, seeks a talented Design Engineer to join the Engineering Design team. You will design, develop and integrate machinery and systems across luxury yachts, supporting new products and existing platform upgrades.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver manufacturable, compliant, and high‑quality engineering solutions from concept through to manufacture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Design Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
• Strong experience with 3D CAD, ideally Siemens NX or similar.
• Previous design engineer experience in marine industry is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high‑quality work.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to innovative engineering solutions.
• Commitment to health, safety, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D CAD models and drawings for steering, stabilisation, and systems.
• Produce installation drawings for production teams and supplier collaboration.
• Support design across machinery, systems and integration for yachts.
• Ensure designs meet quality, compliance and manufacturing standards.
• Create technical documentation, BOMs, and owner manuals content.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive cost and quality improvements.
• Maintain accurate engineering data and documentation within SAP or equivalent systems.
