Qualifications

• Delegated Underwriting experience specific to the Lloyd's London Market.
• Experience negotiating with brokers and liaising with clients.
• Understanding of business planning process.
• Organised and able to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Able to communicate with different levels and is adaptable.
• Resilient and able to work in a pressured environment.
• Works as part of a team.
• ACII Qualification (or equivalent), or progress toward completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full suite of delegated portfolio processes including initial setup, weekly management and renewal.
• Agree endorsements, amendments, and promised lines in line with underwriting authority.
• Approve special acceptances and referrals to binding authorities, line-slips, and treaties.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships, including possible overseas travel.
• Lead or participate in special projects to meet Chaucer's objectives.
• Analyze underwriting data to provide modelling information for underwriting decisions.
• Ensure accurate recording and upkeep of written premium data across Chaucer systems.
