A regional mental health service provider seeks a dedicated professional for a role aimed at safeguarding adults and children, primarily by providing support in domestic abuse cases and participating in multi-agency action plans. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications in health or social care, significant experience in domestic abuse practice, and strong analytical skills. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary, located in Maidstone, England, with flexibility for hybrid working.
Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust are committed to safeguarding and protecting adults and children from abuse. The safeguarding team supports front‑line staff, ensuring risks are identified and appropriate services referred, enabling collaboration at the earliest opportunity.
The post‑holder will provide Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and Domestic Abuse support, representing KMMH and sharing mental health views from our practitioners to develop multi‑agency action plans that reflect mental health and care needs.
Key responsibilities include preventing abuse, protecting adults and children at risk through data analysis, research collection, and participation in MARAC.
Understanding the impact of domestic abuse on children and supporting practitioners to respond safely are essential.
