Job summary

Crem Recruitment are currently seeking a Technical Operator for a busy manufacturing site in Haverhill, Suffolk. The role is full-time, temp-to-perm, and offers £14.00 per hour with scope to secure a permanent position after a successful temporary period.

You will work to SOPs, operate and monitor production equipment, perform quality checks, and support the team to hit targets. Candidates should be practical, safety-minded and keen to learn across different site areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, production, FMCG or medical environment.
• Experience working to SOPs and established processes.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• An understanding or appreciation of electrical and mechanical principles.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Experience of TPM would be advantageous.
• A disciplined and structured approach to work.
• The confidence to ask for help or clarification when required.
• Willingness to learn new skills and work across different areas of the site.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out production operations in line with SOPs.
• Complete hand assembly, packing and other production activities to a high standard.
• Operate and monitor machinery and production equipment.
• Carry out quality checks on own work.
• Record production data accurately.
• Identify and report machinery, equipment or process irregularities.
• Escalate problems affecting production, quality or training.
• Follow a 'stop and fix' approach when issues are identified.
• Work safely and in accordance with procedures and rules.
• Learn and carry out production operations across different site areas.
• Support colleagues to meet production targets.
• Carry out technical activities involving complex equipment and quality-critical processes.
• Maintain a disciplined and structured approach to all work.
