Job summary

Pertemps Crawley is seeking Production Operatives for a busy manufacturer in Crawley. This temp-to-perm role offers a genuine route to permanent employment. Start date is immediate, with on-site work and flexible shift patterns.

Typical duties include operating machinery, basic quality checks, packing, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Attendance and reliability are highly valued, with potential for permanent contract after a successful trial period.

Qualifications

• Experience in a factory/production environment preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive role.
• Strong timekeeping and attendance.
• Comfortable with manual handling and standing.
• Good level of English reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Flexible approach to shifts and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery and assembly lines to meet daily targets.
• Carry out basic quality checks and complete required documentation.
• Pack, label, and prepare finished goods for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation in line with 5S / housekeeping standards.
• Follow health & safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Support team members and flex across tasks as required by the shift leader.
