Position Summary

The position holder will be responsible for the development & provision of effective & capable spooling & transportation processes within manufacturing (product routing, internal & external spooling, transportation & logistics), ensuring operational risk is established & reduced in support of operations.

They will support production in ensuring readiness for execution by developing & compiling all manufacturing process instructions for spooling & transportation activities (MIPACs, Production Routing, Route Maps, Tolling Equipment, Consumables & Strategy).

They will support production with Engineering methods, tools and process required to ensure the successful execution of Manufacturing activities.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Develop & implement effective & capable Testing processes to meet all critical to quality (CTQ) and critical to process (CTP) requirements within operations.
• Develop & implement effective systems of work for QHSE, capability, efficiency, and repeatability within operations (transportation processes, equipment, tooling, competency).
• Identify & reduce operational risk in support of operations.
• Identify & implement continuous improvements within spooling operations to enhance & improve process performance, control, capability, capacity, throughput, cost modelling, waste reduction, QHSE, technology, innovation and understanding.
• Lead/manage & maintain the development of procedures, processes & documentation.
• Develop, manage & maintain the qualification & competency of all personnel.
• Develop & maintain all detailed manufacturing support documentation (Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Risk Assessments).
• Develop & maintain all process capability documentation to support spooling activities within manufacturing (capabilities, design rules, selection criteria, calculators & cost modelling).
• Lead structured problem solving, root cause analysis & quality improvement on product defects & testing process failures. Identify & implement corrective actions and improvements to prevent reoccurrence.
• Create & present reports/data/metrics/material to all levels of the organization.
• Provide process technical support to the spooling processes & personnel on a day-to-day basis.
• Support team members in their daily work (influence, coach, assist) and align/adjust based upon business needs.
• Support & collaborate with all internal disciplines & departments as required to support business needs and improve performance.
• Support the organization’s drive towards excellence in QHSE performance.
• Consistently display required levels of engagement and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude while consistently supporting Oceaneering’s culture of Safety, Quality, ongoing learning and continual improvement.
• Any other roles or tasks as required to support business needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Proven relevant experience in a Manufacturing role within a business or related discipline, with demonstrable evidence of systems and process improvement.
• A background in Manufacturing support, with experience in process tooling and contractor management is advantageous.

• In-depth understanding of welding related standards & codes, welding processes & terminology, procedures, equipment, consumables, tooling & gauges. Awareness & understanding of how this knowledge can be applied to deliver a weld qualification & competency program.
• In-depth understanding of welding inspection, specification analysis, NDT reports, NDT capabilities & limitations.
• Understanding of the key principles, concepts, tools and techniques of total quality management and continuous improvement. Awareness of how these can be used to design and deliver continuous improvement programs
