Scantec Recruitment is partnering with a fantastic FMCG manufacturer based in Harlow to recruit Manufacturing Technicians / Machine Operators for their team. We are seeking experienced Manufacturing Technicians or Machine Operatives who can operate and work on production and packing machinery within the food, pharma, or packaging manufacturing sectors. Candidates should be willing to learn, possess excellent communication skills, and have attention to detail. Extensive ongoing training will be provided.

Shift Details:

Nights (40 hours per week)

Monday to Friday, 10pm-6am

Overtime is available

Core Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Health & Safety:

• Complete pre-start machine setup and adjust settings throughout the shift to maintain quality parameters.
• Identify faults on the line and communicate with Production and Engineering teams to ensure root causes are identified and rectified.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations at all times.
• Raise and address near misses/issues promptly.

Quality Assurance:

• Maintain high standards of quality, food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping within the packing area through good manufacturing practice (GMP). Ensure compliance with business and customer standards and readiness for audits.

Communication:

• Communicate daily with the line team regarding line performance (KPIs) and ensure performance data is available and discussed.
• Carry out all line tasks safely, efficiently, and to quality standards as part of the team.

Performance:

• Aim to meet production targets consistently and understand strategies to achieve this.
• Minimize downtime during changeovers through improved readiness.
• Respond promptly to production plan changes to maintain stock levels.
