Job summary

MBDA is seeking an Engineering Manager to serve as the manufacturing technical authority for a missile portfolio. The role ensures production systems are fit for today and battle-ready for the future, with hybrid working 2–3 days on-site.

You will lead Spiral Development and industrialisation efforts, coordinate obsolescence, and drive continuous improvement while managing project CAPEX and risk. Security clearance (SC) is required and the role offers a strong rewards package.

Qualifications

• Experienced professional with a proven technical background in engineering.
• Experience with manufacturing systems, preferably within defence.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Spiral Development activities from a manufacturing perspective.
• Coordinate obsolescence from a manufacturing project perspective.
• Lead Industrialisation aspects of Project Product Gate Reviews.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Manage project rate increase requirements across production areas.
• Coordinate CAPEX submissions and funding at a Project level.
• Oversee production system validation and transition from development to series production.
