MBDA UK is seeking an Engineering Manager to act as the manufacturing technical authority for a missile portfolio, ensuring production systems are fit for today and battle ready for the future.

The role leads Spiral Development and industrialisation, coordinates obsolescence, CAPEX submission, and risk strategies while interfacing with customers and suppliers to resolve issues at the project level. Hybrid working and SC clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Formal technical apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or higher education certificate (HNC or equivalent).
• Relevant engineering degree may be accepted in place of an apprenticeship.
• Proven background in engineering within manufacturing environments, preferably defence.

Responsabilités

• Ensure manufacturing system is technically capable for current production requirements.
• Lead Spiral Development activities from a manufacturing perspective.
• Coordinate obsolescence and industrialisation aspects of projects.
• Lead project risk identification and resolution strategies.
• Develop and control technical interfaces with customers, suppliers and collaborators.
