Curtiss‑Wright seeks an Electronics Hardware Engineer for the UK team, based at Letchworth with hybrid working. You will design high‑speed multi‑layer PCBs for rugged embedded systems used in defence applications, from concept through production support.
You will work on PCIe/Ethernet interfaces, participate in schematic capture, layout guidance, and signal integrity, and collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams.
We are looking for an Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our UK Team! We are looking for a hands‑on Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our AVS team, working on high‑performance embedded computing systems used in aerospace and defence applications. Other applications may include products like, flight recorders, air data computers and video systems.
This role is focused on the design and development of complex PCBs, including high-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe and Ethernet, within ruggedised VPX/XMC-based systems deployed in military aircraft. You will be involved across the full product lifecycle — from early concept and schematic design through to layout, bring-up, test, qualification, and production support. This is a practical engineering role. You will be expected to design, build, debug, and improve real hardware.
