About the Role:

We\'re looking for a Manufacturing Support Engineer to join our team in Cheltenham! This role is perfect for someone who is recently out of an apprenticeship or has a Level 3 qualification and wants to develop their skills in a hands-on engineering environment. You\'ll be an integral part of the product information process, helping design manufacturing processes for new products, while developing alternative production methods using automation, lean principles, and CAD packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the design and development of manufacturing processes for new products.
  • Develop alternative production methods for both new and existing components.
  • Implement automation and lean principles to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Develop and manage manufacturing systems, focusing on quality, costs, and delivery.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate new products into production.
  • Utilize CAD packages to assist in process design and system development.
Skills & Experience:
  • Recently completed an apprenticeship or hold a Level 3 qualification in manufacturing or engineering.
  • Eagerness to progress into a hands-on engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and lean principles.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Passion for continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
