Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) is recruiting an Engineering Site Facilities Manager to lead site services, utilities, buildings and infrastructure at a manufacturing site in Workington, Cumbria. Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, site services or operational engineering within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage contractors.
• Knowledge of site utilities, buildings and engineering services and compliance with legislation.
• Experience with CMMS and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities and engineering services meet statutory, regulatory and safety requirements, including lifting equipment, Legionella controls and inspections.
• Oversee the supply and distribution of site utilities (refrigeration, water, compressed air, electricity).
• Maintain buildings and infrastructure to meet food safety, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Manage engineering stores and stock control processes.
• Lead and coordinate internal teams and external service providers/contractors.
• Support Engineering and Production to maximise asset availability and reliability.
• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programmes (CMMS).
• Keep CMMS records accurate and up to date; review downtime and root-cause analysis.
• Promote health, safety, waste-reduction and energy-efficiency initiatives.
• Manage Facilities/Engineering budget and support development/training of site services team.
