Job description

Manufacturing Services Technician - 12 month contract

Salary: 25.52 (inside)

Location: Derby

My client is a global defence and aerospace leader, and due to new business contacts, they seek a Maintenance Technician to join their team on an initial 12-month contract.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanically biased machines
  • Performing alignment and geometry checks
  • Utilising hand tools and test equipment to meet customer requirements
  • Coordinating workload and mechanical activities with customers
  • Collaborating with site Manufacturing Engineers to understand and restore equipment
  • Adhering to control standards and procedures

Experience and skills required - Maintenance Technician

  • Must have completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • Good understanding of maintenance operations and fault finding
  • Basic IT literacy and ability to interpret engineering drawings
