Job summary

KPI RECRUITING LTD is recruiting FLT drivers for a permanent role in Leek. You will operate forklifts in a manufacturing environment, move materials, and keep stock accurate while upholding safety standards. The role suits reliable, punctual team players who can work in a fast-paced setting and learn quickly.

Shift pattern is Monday to Friday with rotating 6:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00 slots. Experience with warehouse stock systems and a current FLT licence are preferred.

Qualifications

• FLT licence for counter balance and/or reach.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and consistent team member.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate FLTs safely and perform pre-use checks, including battery.
• Provide materials to Manufacturing areas in a timely manner.
• Carry out stock transactions accurately.
• Wear PPE correctly at all times.
• Report issues relating to stock, FLTs and racking promptly.
• Move and store materials safely within weight limits.
• Maintain FLT battery water levels.
• Adhere to safety protocols and GMP guidelines.
• Support and motivate colleagues.

A Day in the Life of a Manufacturing Services Operative (FLT Driver)

As a Manufacturing Services Operative, you will;

• Ensure FLT’s are driven safely and are checked for safe operation before use including battery
• Provide Manufacturing areas with the required materials in a timely manner.
• Carry out all stock transactions accurately and correctly.
• Wear PPE correctly at all times.
• Report any issues relating to stock transactions, FLTs and racking promptly.
• Move and store all materials safely in accordance with safe weight limits.
• Maintain FLT battery water levels correctly.
• Segregate packaging waste correctly.
• Inform the Department Manager of any issues that could impact Safety, Quality or Cost.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain a clear working area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and company policies.
• Support and motivate colleagues.
• Comply with all other reasonable requests.

What are we looking for?

• Knowledge of Warehouse Stock Systems with the ability to navigate around them independently
• Current FLT licence for Counter Balance and/or Reach from a recognised training body
• Reliability, punctuality and consistency are essential to enable you to work effectively as a team member
• A willingness to learn, share knowledge and develop
• A willingness to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Good verbal, written and numerical skills

Work is ongoing and confirmed week by week.
