Job summary

Morrisons is recruiting Manufacturing Operatives for our abattoir-based site. You’ll help move, pack, wrap, strap and stack products while adhering to the highest safety standards.

We value reliability, the ability to work in a cold, noisy environment and to wear PPE. Training on health and safety and food safety will be provided as part of your induction.

Qualifications

• Experience in an abattoir or meat processing environment.
• Ability to work in cold or cool conditions (2-32°C).
• Willingness to wear PPE and follow safety rules.
• Capable of lifting up to 2.5 kg and maintaining concentration in repetitive tasks.

We're looking for Manufacturing Operatives at our manufacturing site working in our abattoir, to complete various duties such as moving and packing products, and wrapping, strapping and stacking boxes.

Safety is a top priority, and you'll be required to complete all relevant health and safety training to make sure that the safest work practices are adhered to.

More about you

You’ll be the kind of person who:

• Is able to work in an abattoir environment
• Can work in temperatures between 2-32 degrees, and in a noisy environment where hearing protection must be worn
• Is able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as chainmail gloves and maintain concentration when undertaking repetitive work
• Is physically able to lift up to 2.5kg up to a height of 1.7m
• Can complete and comply with relevant business and site policies such as Health and Safety and Food Safety
