Job summary

S1jobs seeks a Process Support Engineer to join a growing Scottish manufacturing business. The role focuses on designing, developing and improving processes to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality output while supporting production operations.

You will collaborate with production, quality, engineering and supply chain teams across lifecycle stages, lead risk assessments, drive lean practices, and support trouble-shooting, documentation and training for manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry or related engineering field.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements management, validation and verification.
• Experience in design, process improvement and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop manufacturing processes, plant layouts, tooling and production methods.
• Lead process risk assessments and manufacturing trials.
• Implement safe and lean manufacturing practices.
• Drive continuous improvement using process analysis and FMEA.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, quality plans and BOMs.
• Develop operating instructions and provide training to production teams.
• Support product introduction and production readiness activities.
• Provide technical support to production teams and assist in resolving engineering issues.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Support business development activities and critical engineering projects.
