Job summary

Ball Corporation is seeking a Press Operator to transform aluminium slugs into high-quality cans in a 24/7 manufacturing setting. You will operate press equipment, perform quality checks, and record data, ensuring compliance with works orders and production documentation.

The role requires prior mechanical/maintenance experience, strong attention to detail, and fluent English. A rotating 12-hour shift, day and night availability, and a commitment to safety are essential.

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and clean press equipment used to convert aluminium slugs into cans.
• Carry out dimensional and quality measurements to ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Perform basic mechanical activities and apply mechanical knowledge to support reliable machine operation.
• Accurately record production data in the required format and at the required frequency.
• Verify production information against works orders to ensure correct manufacturing requirements are followed.
• Identify and support opportunities to improve production processes, efficiency, and product quality.

As a Press Operator, you will play a key role in transforming aluminium slugs into high-quality cans while supporting safe and efficient production operations. Working within a 24/7 manufacturing environment, you will combine machine operation, quality control, and basic mechanical activities to help ensure products meet customer specifications. You will also contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance both product quality and operational performance.
