Job summary

Quest Employment Ltd. are recruiting Production Operatives to join a well-established furniture manufacturer in Northampton. The role involves seat furniture assembly, supporting upholstery and finishing tasks, and working safely with tools in a busy production environment.

You will work Monday to Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm, with training provided and opportunities for temp-to-perm for the right candidate; overtime may be required to meet demand.

Qualifications

• Previous production/manufacturing experience required.
• Furniture assembly experience preferred.
• Upholstery or sewing experience desirable.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Able to maintain steady pace in production.
• Reliable, punctual and team-focused.
• Willing to learn and develop new skills.
• Flexible for overtime when volume increases.

Location: Northampton
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday | 6:00am - 3:00pm
Break: 1 hour unpaid

This is a hands-on role within a busy production environment, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products. The role will mainly involve seat furniture assembly, with furniture assembly experience preferred.

The Role

As a Production Operative, your duties may include:

• Assembling seat furniture and related products

• Supporting upholstery and finishing tasks where required

• Sewing or stitching fabric components where trained

• Using hand tools and machinery safely

• Checking finished products for quality and consistency

• Following production instructions accurately

• Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised

• Working as part of a team to meet production targets

• Following all site health and safety procedures

What We're Looking For

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have previous production or manufacturing experience

• Have furniture assembly experience, preferred

• Have upholstery or sewing experience, desirable but not essential

• Have good manual dexterity and attention to detail
