Job Details

Location: Trafford, Manchester, North West England (M17)
Salary: £35,641 per annum (Basic Pay £30,107 + £5,533 shift premium) + Benefits
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Rotating Shift Pattern - 2 weeks on Day Shifts (06:00-18:00) and 2 weeks on Night Shifts (18:00-06:00)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Line Technician experienced with production lines and FMCG/Food manufacturing environments, including stock control processes. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production lines, from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring health, safety, quality, and food safety standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively promote health and safety, adhere to Safe Systems of Work, report incidents and unsafe acts.
  • Perform pre-start checks and complete documentation.
  • Accurately log downtime and communicate effectively.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance and Health & Safety checks at specified intervals.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the production line.
  • Report pest control issues promptly.
  • Manage process and quality parameters.
  • Identify and communicate maintenance needs weekly.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure the line is stocked with necessary materials.
  • Accurately complete SIC boards.
  • Minimize changeover downtime and meet production targets.
  • Reduce wastage and ensure weights and measures compliance.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of stock control processes, preferably with WMS systems.
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge (desirable).
  • Manual Handling experience (desirable).
  • GCSE Maths & English.
  • H&S qualification (desirable).
