Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner - Operations for a fast-paced manufacturing environment in the North West. You will partner with operational leadership to advise on the employee lifecycle, workforce planning, and change initiatives.

The role focuses on employee relations, coaching managers, and ensuring HR policies meet UK employment law while supporting culture and engagement across the operation. Hybrid working and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven HRBP experience supporting operational or manufacturing teams.
• Strong employee relations experience, including complex case management.
• Confidence partnering with senior operational leaders and influencing at all levels.
• Experience with workforce planning, organisational design and change initiatives.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive HR advice and coaching across the employee lifecycle.
• Support workforce planning, organisational design and resource requirements within a manufacturing environment.
• Lead and advise on employee relations matters, including absence, performance, conduct, grievances and disciplinary processes.
• Coach managers to improve leadership capability, engagement and performance.
• Support organisational change, restructuring and transformation programmes.
• Develop and implement people initiatives aligned to operational objectives.
• Use data and insights to identify trends and translate into actions.
• Collaborate with recruitment, L&D and reward to deliver a comprehensive HR service.
• Support employee engagement and culture initiatives across the operation.
• Ensure HR policies align with UK legislation and best practice.
• Build relationships with employee representatives and unions where applicable.
• Promote a positive, high-performance culture and embed people considerations in decision making.
