Job summary

Lotus Cars is seeking General Operatives and Material Coordinators for immediate starts at our Hethel site in Norfolk. You will support assembly, paint, logistics, and material handling across production areas in a fast-paced environment.

Roles are temporary with week-by-week contracts and potential cross-department coverage. You will assemble components, handle materials, ensure stock accuracy, and help maintain a safe, efficient workplace while meeting quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit, or prepare component parts and panels using a variety of hand or power tools.
• Inspect, prepare, or rework components following documented processes.
• Support daily production output by meeting quality and quantity targets.
• Assist supervisors and team members in achieving build requirements and covering absences when required.
• Report issues such as shortages, defects, or process concerns to team leaders.
• Follow all operational processes accurately and work within allocated timescales.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and PPE in good working condition.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work across different production areas as needed.
• Handle, move, and distribute materials, components, and parts across production areas.
• Ensure accurate stock handling, including booking in/out, stock checks, and material tracking.
• Work closely with logistics and production teams to support continuous workflow.
• Operate manual handling equipment (training provided where necessary).
• Identify and report shortages, discrepancies, or damaged materials.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
