Job summary

Heap & Co in Haverhill is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead the finance function and provide senior leadership with high-quality financial insight and reporting. The role covers financial control, commercial analysis, process improvement, and team leadership.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, lead budgeting and forecasting, analyse costs and variances, support audits, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.
• Strong management accounting, reporting and analytical skills.
• Experience in manufacturing or similar environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Deliver insightful management information and financial analysis.
• Costing and variance analysis to support operational decisions.
• Own month-end and year-end processes.
• Support external audits and statutory reporting.
• Develop financial controls, systems and processes.
• Partner with operational teams to improve performance.
• Manage and develop a small finance team.
