2020 Recruitment are delighted to be working with our North Ayrshire based client who are looking to add a Manufacturing Estimating Engineer to their team. This role suits an experienced Manufacturing Engineer, Estimator or Machinist seeking a more commercial focus and customer interaction.

Working with the Commercial, Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement and Engineering teams, you will develop manufacturing routes from customer drawings, produce accurate estimates and quotations for machined

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering, estimating or a similar role.
• Ability to interpret customer drawings and specifications.
• Commercial awareness with cost, lead times and capacity.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Parts Master database (BOM structures) in line with customer specs.
• Review BOM structures reflecting the proposed manufacturing method and supply requirements.
• Develop manufacturing routes based on cost, schedule, lead time and capability.
• Use EFACS ERP to generate estimates and quotations.
• Carry out contract reviews to ensure technical capability and compliance with customer requirements.
• Support RFQ activities and pricing from subcontract suppliers.
