Job summary

HOIST is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst with strong manufacturing experience to join our client-driven team. The role focuses on analyzing shop orders, material flows, costing, and efficiencies within manufacturing environments and ERP implementations.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences, and support the full lifecycle of software delivery. 50% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience within manufacturing environments and ERPs.
• Experience with shop orders, shop floors, material consumption, and costing in manufacturing.
• Post-secondary education in engineering or manufacturing is preferred.
• At least 2 years in ERP implementation or upgrade projects; IFS experience is a plus.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Gather and define project requirements with stakeholders.
• Analyze business processes and user needs to identify solutions.
• Create and maintain functional and non‑functional requirements, user stories, and use cases.
• Translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Perform gap analyses between requirements and current systems.
• Work with development teams to ensure correct implementation and timely issue resolution.
• Participate in design discussions to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical teams.
• Perform QA to validate software meets requirements.
• Support project planning, estimation, and risk management.
• Provide ongoing support during the SDLC and gather user feedback for improvements.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends to align solutions with standards.
